Good program but HARD to learn at first. Keep doodling around and you’ll get it.

  • Updated tool controls

Switching the tool controls from the right hand side to the top, actually sent me into existential crisis mode. I hate it. I was so used to where everything was I didn’t even have to think about where the buttons were. Now I have to re learn where it is and retrain muscle memory. I feel like it should be an option to change it back.
  • I used to love it but now I can’t do digital art anymore

I go into the app one day just to see a message that said, “storage is low and document recovery has failed. Please clear up 3.2 gigabytes” so then I clear up some storage and it STILL says the message, making the app unusable. I made so many good drawings and it was the only good free drawing app that I could find. I would have rated it 5 stars but sense the message showed up, I can’t do digital art anymore. And I tried adobe illustrator and a bunch of other apps, but I got so used to adobe fresco that I can’t even do other apps.
  • Please give users the option to move the toolbar.

This update is horrible and there is no way to revert or customize the UI beyond moving the tool controls left or right. The top toolbar options cover the drawing area when I click on them, which is annoying. It is also important to know how much the image is zoomed in if your final project is going to print. It keeps the actual size in perspective. I use Fresco specifically because I do not like Procreate’s interface - you all DO NOT NEED to imitate Procreate. Moving the undo button is also just criminal, come on ya’ll…

I have used Adobe Fresco since it’s inception. I am a mixed media textile artist. My work is very detailed, intricate, and time consuming. Drawing my initial ideas out in various versions helps me visualize what I want to do. I photograph my work in progress, then draw in the stitching details to figure what works. It is a tremendous help, and I recommend it to all my students.
  • The placements suck

PLEASE LET US HAVE THE OLD PLACEMENTS FOR THE BRUSHES AND STUFF INSTEAD OF THIS GARBAGE I have used this app for years, and the placement of where the eraser and brush was was perfect, beautiful even, but now it’s just a weird and a jumbled mess I have to relearn to navigate, and I already had issues when the weird recent feature moving my stuff around, and a whole change to where the brushes are just crosses the line for me FIX THIS NOW (or add a feature that can swap the spots)
  • Horrible update

V7.3.1 for iPad no longer allows importing of photos ☹️
  • UX “redesign” moves this towards a Desktop App and away from a drawing app

The recent UX/UI refresh takes away the ability to draw “with two hands” and really makes a GREAT app, “bad.” Most people when drawing on an iPad used their left thumb to quickly select tools from the tool palette - for some reason they removed this feature. It’s almost like they’re actually TRYING to make Fresco BAD. The app went from being 5 stars to 1 star.
