The line height resets when you set value via keyboard! It drops to 0 every time! Please fix!
  • Overall good. But doesn’t work with Webex

The tool overall is easy to use and helps me a lot. However it doesn’t work with Webex. It makes the main window (the place people share screen or their front cam) disappear. I have to turn off the tool to be able to use Webex.

For those of us who have minds that wander and constantly have to re-read, this app sure can help. There is enough customization (IMO, of course) to satisfy anyone. I’ve got the app set to highlight 5 lines at a time (I tried 3, and it didn’t seem enough), and I no longer lose my place.

All my life I have been aware I needed something like this for reading. Sadly those who didn’t have ADHD around me repeated their unhelpful advice about how to be a better reader so often I began to doubt myself. I am a person with a very high IQ that was assessed late in life as a result of my work to get diagnosed with ADHD. No one could understand how I was as intelligent as I obviously was, and yet had trouble with reading. People went to far as to doubt my authenticity when I insisted reading was a problem. They routinely put written documents in front of me to sign or to read and respond to, and then talked right over my reading them. They acted flustered and indignant when I had to tell them I would need time to read them. On tests I often was told by the teachers that I was talking to long. What they didn’t get was that I was reading and re-reading the same test question until it clicked in my head. My distraction was so powerful that I didn’t even realize what was holding me back. I couldn’t understand why everyone finished their test ahead of me. I got 100% on almost every test, but the teachers acted like I was a dunce because it took me so much longer than other students to just complete the test. I was routinely hurried over and over in every class…AllI needed was a tool like this. I just needed something to allow me to focus on line by line. Nothing complicated. This app is just what it needs to be. It is uncomplicated and easy to find at the top of your screen when you need it. It has a clear toggle switch to turn it on and off. It doesn’t overcomplicate things. That is how I think all good apps should be. What it does is brilliant though. If you are anything like me, and your problem is having a page full of flashing distractions at all times, this will limit your focus to just what you actually care about reading!! Enjoy!!!

Seriously, this makes work on my laptop a million times easier. I wish I had known about this app before now, but I am absolutely thrilled to have found it. So simple, so perfect.
  • Great for my Dyslexia

I think this app is worth the cost. As a student with lots of papers to read, this apps really helps me stay focused and read more efficiently with my dyslexia. I do wish that it had more colour options to choose from. For my dyslexia, my best overlay colour is orange. I hope this is in a future update, but for now i'm managing with red.

been enjoying this app for a month now. it works great. would love to be able to cover the top of the screen instead of the bottom. and to customize the size of the viewing window when covering both the top and bottom.

Having spent the majority of my life overcoming visual-perception related issues in addition to other learning and medical disabilities, it is amazing to find an application such as this that could improve so many lives. I used to have to print everything and use an index card or paper to cover while reading to prevent nausea & dizziness, and ot retain the information...now, I don't have to! This is truly life-changing now that I am in graduate school. My only recommendation is to be able to change the width of the "in focus" portion (the section being read) because depending on the font size of what I am reading, I find it is covering a bit too much or not enough.
