This is the only app I use every single day, I wish you could customize which order games show up and can hide ones you don’t want to play, but other than that it’s the best!!!!!
  • The app asks me to submit a new review every time I complete a puzzle

NYT won’t let me play without updating the app, and the update is not supported with my iPad. I am very sad because the games are very fun and I like to do them with my family.

The NY Times made crosswords what they are in this country today, introduced, popularized, innovated, and supported games and puzzles such as these. Why go anywhere else?
  • Asks for a review every day

    Incredibly annoying
  • Mostly great, but UI needs refinement.

Overall, this is a great app. I like having easy access to all the different New York Times games. However, there are a couple of interface elements that I feel need improvement for me to give 5 stars. First, please let us use our native device keyboard. I am so used to the layout of my phone keyboard that I routinely misspell words. This is mostly an issue with the crossword. There are many times where I make typos (which is annoying when trying to complete the crossword). Second, the animations and overall touch responsiveness of Pips needs work. Rotating dominos should not be as clunky as it feels like it should be. Will I stop using the app because of these issues? No—the enjoyment outweighs the annoyances. (But it sure would be nice!)

Only giving 4 stars since NYT is behind on offering a streak freeze option if puzzles from the missed days are solved the next day. I would pay a few bucks extra for that every month and I’m sure others would, too. Come on NYT- catch up!!
