  • Minor suggestions

I really have enjoyed my experience with the Google Calendar ever since I switched from the previous calendar I was using. My only minor suggestions (and they could come across as nitpicking) is more color choices for the events and maybe changing the app icon to reflect the actual date it is instead of just always having the 31st on it (if there is a way to do this, then please just email or respond to this with the instructions please) Keep up the great work and I hope you consider these minor suggestions. Thank you.
  • Glitching!!!

I really like using this calendar, but i’ve been running into a frequent issue. Occasionally, when I add an event, it ends up disappearing, like it was never saved. This becomes a big problem when I’m relying on it for important things. For example, I added an interview to my calendar a week in advance. It showed up at first, but when I checked two days before, it was completely gone. I could have missed this interview if I hadn’t double checked. I’d love to keep using this calendar, but this glitch makes it hard to trust that my events are actually being saved.
  • Freezes adding location

Across updates this app will occasionally totally freeze and become unresponsive when trying to enter a location for an event, requiring the user to quit out of the app, lose all details of the event they’ve already entered, and start over from scratch
  • Update needed for location

When adding location to a calendar event, my phone freezes and the app stops working. Then, I must restart the app. This happens when creating a new event, then adding a location to it. If I modify an existing event to add a location, the app does not crash. Please fix this, as this has been the case for 5+ months now at least.
  • Poor iOS implementation

Does not sync well with iOS calendar and use is very broken on iPhone
  • The app icon needs to update to current date!

Why we are in 2026 and the app icon doesn’t automatically update to the current date, for one of the largest most technologically advanced companies in the world, is truly a mystery. I have to use Google Calendar for work, but hate it compared to Apple Calendar, solely because the app icon doesn’t update to the current date. Very frustrating and, to me, it seems like something that should be simple to implement that everyone would enjoy, unless you prefer pretending that the date is perpetually the 31st.

Way too complicated to do a shared family calendar. It should be as easy as sending an email or text to a group chat. It doesn’t have to be that hard. I’m not gonna download a third party app because even if I do it, I have to convince the rest of my family to do it and that’s too complicated. It’s so much more secure within Google Calendar just get a family feature. Make it easy. Add things like airport pick ups restaurant party planning I would totally do a Google family suite and pay more for that. They should also have where you could help manage your parents that are older aged and grandparents for them like manage party planning and stuff. There’s no reason it should be this hard in 2026. It should also sync if it needs to with other apps like paperless post I’m fine with that I would pay more for that. It needs to be as easy as doing YouTube family plan for example if you’re doing a party plan for her birthday you can link a YouTube how to bake a cake, German chocolate cake, my favorite. As part of the invitation and then you can link with paperless post to send out invitations that of course could be a paid feature. I’m totally fine with that doctors appointments to help grandparents with scheduling doctors appointments in the calendar so everybody knows where they are then you can also charge for a location feature to know where they are so that they can securely be sure that they got to the appointment on time it’s 2026. They should all be available by now. It’s ridiculous that it’s not and I’m not gonna use some small no name third-party app that does family features like this. It needs to be Google. It needs to be the Google suite needs to be as easy as doing YouTube premium family plan and AI can help with the grandparents especially organizing. Thank you so much
  • Can’t delete anything

I can’t delete any events or tasks. The delete button is present, but as soon as I press it, the menu disappears and my event is still there.
