Classically trained musician here; I really enjoy the Apple Classical App; many great features. The search feature for names of playlists seems like it could use further refinement —unless I’m not searching right when I try to pull up “Don Beagle’s Mozart (Wolfgang Amadeus) Playlist,” for example. Also some captioning of tracks in albums seem off at times; possible AI problems?

You have to choose another album 10-15 after you start listening. Frustrating if you don’t notice and you have stepped away to do some work.

Hace mucho que soñaba con una aplicación como esta. Es como para no creérselo y sin embargo es real. Espero que perdure por los siglos de los siglos.

Thank you Apple for creating an interface specifically for classical music. It pushes new releases to you, and recognizes how classical pieces are organized, with multiple movements. It helps you access your favorites as well as providing an opportunity to explore similar composers and new to you music. My constant companion at the office.

I have long looked for a way to catalogue my classical collection. I’d manually go into my collection and research the conductors, symphonies, and all the miscellaneous items classical music lovers love to consider when listening. I finally found the app that does it better than I ever could. It is the reason I keep Apple Music. This app changed the way I listen to music.

As an classical, and other older styles instrumentalist, as well as a overall musician. I can comfortably say that listening to music is something that is quite important for me, an app that allows me to organize my different musical tastes and keep them separate is quite helpful. Whether its a piece I am practicing or just casually listening having it all streamlined on one platform makes everything much much easier.

The design, editorials, and easy-to navigate UX make this the best app for baroque, classical, romantic, modern, contemporary and experimental art music. Cataloguing, organizing, labeling and sorting this type of music is a challenge for most apps. The way these types of works need to be organized requires a special taxonomy that spans across composers, performers, conductors, institutions, recording dates and more. This app seamlessly connects the dots across the types of information and music you’re trying to find. Where other apps are restricted to the basic schema of “Artist>Album>Song” this app can help you find everything from the very first recordings of Beethoven’s late string quartets, all the way to the latest star performers of today. It will also do a great job of highlighting past performers that had impactful interpretations of composers we all love - like JS Bach you’ll easily find Yo-Yo Ma, Karl Richter, and Glenn Gould and so on. I genuinely feel like this is the best app on my phone. I am so grateful for it.

It’s nice to regularly have access to the beautiful, calming music of the classical genre. From the Renaissance to the Reformation, from even the more energetic waltzes to contemporary symphonies, this tremendous music cannot be beat.
