  • Crashes constantly

My workflow has been destroyed by whatever these updates are. Instrument presets that I’ve used since 2007 are gone. It crashes constantly. ARA support is nonexistent. Lots of apps I use like vocalign and Nectar don’t work or crash the app. Really sad. Wish I could go back.
  • Very good application. Some suggestions.

This is my go-to for vocal recording and final mixing/mastering. A few things: I would like the snap function to have an option for 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, etc… (including triplets). That would be a very nice improvement. It would also be nice to be able to edit the ruler to only show bars, beats, fractions of bars, beats (same as the snap option) etc… All of these updates would make it a lot easier to time stretch and get more creative with live instruments. The final suggestion is to be able to make custom time signatures in the quantization module (for example, type in time signatures like 1/5, 1/7, or anything you can think of), and include decimal values for that track section for things such as Q-strength, Q-range, fine tune, transpose, and quantization value (for example 1.5/4, 1/4.5, etc…). I really do love Logic. I believe the more creative flexibility you add to this app the better music we can all make.

Super bummed to be writing this, but after over a decade of absolutely adoring the latest and great that Logic Pro has to offer, I cannot STAND what Apple has done with the latest few updates. AI Session players, missing keyboard shortcuts, rearranged and removed sounds and presets, the AWFUL Sound Pack downloader, and the absurd amount of system overloads and performance issues with projects on a system that worked reliably on older versions for years. The latest versions of Logic have forced me to use an OLDER MAC running macOS Monterey that is not capable of updating to ensure that everything remains as I’d like it to be on Logic Pro X - a surefire way to keep everything how I want, but a bummer that I am no longer interested in what Apple is doing with new versions of Logic. Sad to see.

I used to be able to run projects with no problem and out of nowhere I update and it glitches for no reason. Having barely anything on my daw. I should have never updated logic. Im disappointed
  • AI “Session Players”? Seriously, read the room.

I’ve used Logic as my primary DAW for 12 years, but I will not hesitate to dump it with the introduction of AI “session players”. I’m sure I’m not the only working musician and *actual human session player* who will take issue with this. Aside from the ethical conversations around AI and the arts, this technology creates catastrophic environmental effects for air and water quality and I, like many other creative professionals, will simply not integrate this cleptocratic technology into my workflow, no matter how aggressively it is foisted on me. Shame on you.
  • 11 years of use, I am switching to Abelton

Sad day for me, loved using Logic Pro for years but after getting back into heavy production this year, I realized Apple ruined this software to the point where I am unable to make the tracks I always have made. Their Q Mixer is totally broken and I am unable to stack certain sounds without choking issues (never had this in the 11 years I’ve been a user). Ableton, I think it’s time for me to dive into you!
  • Awesome DAW

  • Ruined AirPods 3 connectivity

The latest update has completely ruined the ability to use AirPods 3 with Logic. When Logic is open, the audio quality of the AirPods drops, sounding simply awful. Close Logic, and they sound fine with Apple Music etc. P.s. turning off the mic doesn’t help.
