Constantly needs updating to share files. Sharing is challenging.

It took me a while to get used to Numbers after years of Excel, but once I got to know where to find the relevant information, the frustration disappeared and the spreadsheet became a doddle.
  • Indispensable Productivity Tool

Having the ability to access the information I have in my spreadsheets from my iPhone, iPad, MacBook or Vision Pro is essential to my job as a property manager. Numbers is easy to use and powerful enough to address all my concerns. I’ve never had a reason to go back to other spreadsheet products!

Going back to Excel at work and using Liibre office at home. I cancannotnot believe a simple function like =sum can be made so difficult. There’s a reason starting with Lotus 123, Excel and Libre Office have menu driven header functions. Why bury them so the presentation looks more “elegant” in Numbers. Bye! Not worth thew learning curve for me.

Have used it the past year to replace Excel. It has been fine for most of my tasks, once I figured out the different menu. Has some advantages I like. I prefer being in the native Apple environment as much as possible. Still need Excel to work with a purchased tool, but that is the only thing keeping me tied to Microsoft. I encourage Apple to continue to improve the tool so that it is head and shoulders above all others!
  • Numbers short comings

The only major shortcoming is the inability to lock cells and formulas. The work arounds are a real pain. This keeps it out of the same league as Excel and I can’t figure why Apple isn’t capable of correcting this.
