iTunes Remote

If Apple could enhance the capabilities to include functions allowing tagging and metadata modification that would be very useful.

This works great when I’m away from my computer, but listening to it via Bluetooth & I want to change the song.

I used to like the app, but it has taken to nagging me to review it every week, even though I’ve already reviewed it. The app has also being less reliable in the last year or so. It often only plays one song when I hit play.

I just wish to see the option to customize the text colors.

Title: Improve Apple Music Queue and Search in iTunes Remote Comment: I really appreciate that iTunes Remote still works with the latest versions of iOS and macOS. I have two feature requests that would greatly improve the user experience: 1. Please add full Apple Music search support in iTunes Remote. Currently, the app can only browse and search content already available in the local library. It would be much more useful if users could search the entire Apple Music catalog directly from the Remote app. 2. Please improve playlist playback behavior. When a user opens a playlist and manually selects a song in the middle of that playlist, playback should continue with the next song in the same playlist after the selected track ends. Currently, playback often leaves the playlist and starts playing automatically recommended songs instead. This is confusing and breaks the listening experience. Thank you for continuing to support iTunes Remote. It remains one of the best ways to control Apple Music remotely. iTunes Remote is perfect for Mac mini music servers and high-end audio systems. These improvements would make it significantly more useful for dedicated music playback setups.

Please don’t ever take this away. It’s mandatory in our house.

No longer see currently playing album cover picture or text

Use case: AirPlay from Mac to house speakers, controlled by Remote app from iPhone, IPad, etc. Since upgrading to Tahoe the app essentially doesn’t work; the failure modes are many: volume doesn’t work; skipping songs doesn’t work; streams ‘hang’; navigation non-functional. I can’t really tell whether it’s the Remote app or the Music app on MacOS, but in any case it’s a shambles. Streaming direct from my iOS devices works Just Fine, by the way.

If you’re an ol’ school DJ at heart who likes making the perfect mixes for parties, the ITunes Remote is the perfect party companion!

In your last update I lost the ability to see what song is playing. The other functions work.
