  • Consistent worst experience on Mac

It’s been many years and on Mac it is still unusable. Insane amount of time is wasted waiting for sign in and sync. Is it really that hard to make a good app? I bet Codex will just fix it in hours……
  • Poor synchronization, app keeps crashing

Sometimes I think the poor performance of this app on MacOS is on purpose. I have Mac and Windows PCs and the experience is completely different. My Mac’s app keeps crashing every day, I have to open it back again 4 to 5 times a day, it’s really hurting the business. It gets stuck on processing files and never synchronizes, I’ve been bridging the files with Dropbox and GDrive to make them available on my other PCs. Their only solution seems to be unlinking and link the device again, but then it takes several hours to process “changes”, I have to wait until that’s done to start seeing the files sync again (that short period of happiness won’t last much). The only reason I keep using this app is because I paid for a yearly subscription (been paying for several years and this was not happening a few months ago). I’ll just have to let that expire and start using other services. I do not recommend using OneDrive on apple devices. Not until they have solutions to this poor performance .

Shuts down every few minutes. When it is on it takes a long time to decide to sync. Have to pause and restart.

I have to use it for work, and it constantly crashes, like hourly. Booooooooo. Use anything else if you can.
  • Automatically shut down

Every time after I close and open the lid of my Mac, the onedrive app will be shut down and it needs to be manually booted, very annoying.
  • Can’t compare with the prior Apple version

If you don’t have to update from prior Apple version, don’t. This is a terribly cluttered application to sync your documents.
  • Worthless

  • No Q&A

App crashes after last release and after opening continues to close on its own. No Q&A done on this release before sending to the public. Do not update
  • Not reliable

Recently, every update messed things up. I had to log out and then log back in. Everything needed to be re-synced. OneDrive fails to keep my files properly synced between work and home. It used to work great, and somehow they messed it up.

Multimillion dollar company can’t make a useful onedrive app for Mac, consumes 100% CPU in idle, and constantly crashes
